A while back, I got my dad a 23andMe testing kit, one of the basic ones. It's partly because some of the DNA information is blocked to me unless I have a close male relative connected to me, since I lack a Y chromosome. My parents are back home, safe and sound. Part of why I was a bundle of nerves last week had to do with them traveling for the first time in ages.
