Well we've got it.  Others get white fluffy snow and we get freezing fog.

Nominations for the Golden Globes were just read... some by Quentin Tarentino.  Among them Denzel for American Gangster and George Clooney for Michael Clayton.  Ridley Scott for AG made me EEE.  No Country for Old Men has several, along with Sweeney Todd.  Anxiously awaiting ( Read more... )

Saw it yesterday.  Amazing.  Along with Michael Clayton, my favorite of the year.  Compelling visuals and very rough around the edges, the things I like best about Ridley Scott's style.  He never blinks.  I always leave his films feeling like I'm going to have a heart attack (there were times when you felt like you were breathing all the heroin ( Read more... )

October.  I wait all year for this.  Cool dry weather.  No fuzzy hair.  No soggy sneakers.   And old horror movies on TV.  I bet I've seen 6 zombie movies this week.   And all those shlocky Vincent Price/Edgar Allen Poe movies.  I love October.
