Well we've got it.  Others get white fluffy snow and we get freezing fog.

Nominations for the Golden Globes were just read... some by Quentin Tarentino.  Among them Denzel for American Gangster and George Clooney for Michael Clayton.  Ridley Scott for AG made me EEE.  No Country for Old Men has several, along with Sweeney Todd.  Anxiously awaiting ( Read more... )

So I walk into an actual store today, try on some dress pants and a pair of jeans and they fit!  They're not even too long!  I know that sounds mundane to the average bear, but I haven't been able to do this for ages.

I saw The Lake House today.  I don't usually go for fluffy romantic films, but this is an exception.  Forget that these people are living 2 years apart in time... just go with it.  It works.  It's wistful and romantic and the Chicago landscape is beautiful.  And of course, there's Jack.  We left the theatre with recollections of Somewhere in Time.  ( Read more... )
