I had a few prenatals with Liz today and watched a couple of birth videos.  One is called Power Birth which is a bith technique that doesn't wait until full dilation before allowing the mother to push.  Liz is in the video discussing her success with Power Birth and it shows home births of vertex twins and a breech twin as well.  The midwife that ( Read more... )

My thoughts are quite scattered tonight.  I am touched by the LJ comments, emails and phone calls that I received today.  It's been such a comfort to hear how others are honoring Abby's memory.

And it's been an odd day for me; sometimes it feels like a perfectly normal day and then the next moment I'm swept away in memories of Abby's birth.  It's ( Read more... )

Abby's roses are blooming so much this week.  Every morning there are more roses opening and the blooms get bigger and bigger.  It's comforting to see them so bright and beautiful, when the days have been so difficult.

We have three local greenhouses but I usually only go to one of them.  Last year when Abby died, Jack's aunt phoned this particular greenhouse and ordered us a rose bush in memory of Abby.  I loved that yellow rose bush but it didn't survive the winter and Jack and I are both very sad about that, even though I've already planted her new rose bush ( Read more... )
