Mom, the week went by much too fast :-(

I have so much to say, but no energy to really put my words together.   So, just a photo post for now.

Charlotte was very happy to see her Grandma again!  My mom and brother arrived in town last weekend.

Kim taught my mom how to text in T9 instead of ABC.  My mom gets so excited when she gets a text, it's really funny ;-)

Julia, first day of grade 4!

And Kim, first day of Grade TWELVE!!!!  12!?  Yikes!

On the first day of school, Kim, along with three of her friends, were called down to the school office.  Each of them got a beautiful rose and a note from their friends.

Two of Kim's "besties" graduated in June and have moved away for university.  They left these sweet notes and roses for the friends they left behind.  So sweet, right!?  Made me get all choked up and teary - my mom too!!

"Kim's car" had a flat tire.  Jack gave her a lesson in taking the tire off, but Jack put the new tire on while my brother and Charlotte visited with him.  Here, my brother is hiding behind the car jack - he hates having his picture taken.

My mom "played cards" with Charlotte.  Charlotte did very well at remembering her numbers - surprised us both!

When I looked outside to check on what Julia and Charlotte were doing, I found them sitting on the rail like this!  Like every good mother, I took a picture first, then told them to carefully get DOWN!  LOL

While I made spaghetti and meatballs for supper one night, Charlotte fetched her "On Top of Spaghetti" book and had Grandma read it to her.

On our way out of town for a family barbecue, Charlotte fell asleep in her car seat while she was coloring.

My mom and I went to visit my two Great Aunts (sisters to my paternal grandmother).  They have such a rich family history that I would love to record!

My SIL had these beautiful sweet peas in her house in a glass vase.

And she had tiger lilies growing in her yard, my mom's favorite, and our provincial flower :-)

My mom, Jack, and Charlotte hanging out on my BIL and SIL's deck while supper was cooking.

Man.Make.Fire.......and steak with corn on the cob, too ;-)

My mom took some time to catch up on local (small town) news.

Julia spent most of her time playing with Jack's great-niece, Chloe.

Chloe, giving her daddy kisses :-)

Charlotte!  She glows!!

first day of school, family fun, family, pictures, flowers, bbq
