I survived my first week, and all my TA sessions went well. I love that in each of them, the students answer my questions pretty readily, and we don't just sit there in silence after I ask them something. Over the last few days I have done a lot of scrapbooking for my SLU album, and found and fell in love with a pottery studio in Webster Groves called "Kreuger's Pottery." It's been a good week for art. I made three great pieces at the studio yesterday, and hopefully tonight or tomorrow I'll decide how I'd like to decorate them before I go back again ( Read more... )

Last night was a blast. Yesterday Casey and I came up with our characters, and then in the evening Robert, Steven, and Jeff came over and we all played a rousing one-shot of DnD, which was SO MUCH FUN. So I finally got around to watching the Dragonlance Movie - and it was so so bad. You can't make a half animated, half CG, 90 minute movie covering a 400 page book that's only 1/3 of a trilogy and expect it to be nearly as epic and passionate as the books. :-( It didn't seem like that fantastic fantasy story I loved anymore, it was now like a super ( Read more... )
