Got to the Chieftain two days ago. Beautiful ship, friendly crew (a shocker), good cooking, beautiful scenery. We've been working hard the last couple of days, and we're currently transiting the Sacramento River (I'm updating thanks to the ship's wireless internet subscription- works anywhere a cellphone does). I got a job on a tall ship. I'm the new Education Coordinator on the Hawaiian Chieftain, out of Aberdeen, Washington. I guess my college degree was actually worth something after all.

I would say it's like a dream come true, but that would seem trite. Now, all that's left is to get myself out there and do a good job at it.
