I may actually have a job. Wonder of wonders.
If all goes well, in less than a month I will be taking my first steps towards a brand-spankin' sparkly-new life of my very own... it's a powerful feeling.
Pacific Northwest, here I come. (Miami didn't work out, Ashley- sorry).

"list ten things that make you happy" (in the order I thought of them, not in order of importance)
1. cloudy days (trust me, they're an acquired taste)
2. campfires & woodsmoke
3. snow
4. autumn and all its concordant delights, natural or man-made
5. wilderness (of all kinds)
6. friends
7. laying aloft/the hum of wind in the rigging
8. sunlight through treetops/moonlight through the same
9. driving long distances, especially if i'm going somewhere new
10. a good story, told well
...and five more bonus ones:
11. satin-edged cotton blankets (the ones with the zigzag stitching)
12. ska music
13. a snuggle of any kind
14. Popeye's biscuits
15. hard work, out-of-doors
