I got a job on a tall ship. I'm the new Education Coordinator on the Hawaiian Chieftain, out of Aberdeen, Washington. I guess my college degree was actually worth something after all.
I would say it's like a dream come true, but that would seem trite. Now, all that's left is to get myself out there and do a good job at it.
I can't put into words how excited I am, without squeeing like a schoolgirl. It's my life, and I'm finally going to take the reins. I'm going to be a part of a ship, a part of a crew.
The only catch is that I have to leave in exactly a week. I guess I have to squeeze in all my visiting into this weekend... fair enough.
