When I was a kid, I read this (fictional, of course) book about a little girl who dug a hole all the way through the Earth to China. What made it stick in my head is I remember trying to replicate what she did by digging a hole in the garden with my hands, but the dirt kept falling back in the little hole that I'd made so I gave up. My husband remembers his parents having a particular record that featured a female pop star dressed as super girl on the cover.

He thought it was Carly Simon, but it turns out that isn't it.

Anyone know what he's talking about? My Google-Fu has failed me today.

I have kind of a weird question. My boyfriends father is going to be reading the part from Jimmy Dean's I.O.U on the radio for Mother's Day, and he/we are wondering if the tune going in the background is it's own song or if it comes from a waltz or other song.
