Disney PSA - 60's or 70's

I'm remembering a shortish comedy show which I'm partially convinced was on the small, short-lived digital channel UK Play (or Play UK) maybe in the late 90's or early 00's. It was a spoof shopping channel, like QVC and I think the title was '[something]tv,' but I might be misremembering that. I'm thinking of a movie. If I remember correctly, it is a French film starring a young girl, maybe between the ages of 10-14. Throughout the course of the movie, I believe she is molested by someone that I can't quite remember. She also befriends a young boy around her age in the movie. It's a film that I think is less than 90 minutes long, but the ( ... ) -

I'm trying to remember this book I read a few years ago. What I remember is that it had to do and was mostly set in an antique mall that these 3 older sisters owned. One of the sisters was pregnant and was homeless so was living in the antique mall secretly.I believe she was pregnant by a man she didn't really know. I can't remember much about the ( ... ) -
Looking for a word
I'm looking for a word that means "proven" or "tested" or supported by the evidence in a scientific setting. I think it starts with an E and it might have an X in it somewhere? It's not "explicit" or "extemporaneous." The phrase I'm trying to use is "e_______ evidence", where the hypothesis has been supported by the data without question. Science series like "How it's Made"
I remember this series from a few years back--I believe it aired on Discovery Channel before Science Channel was spun off and I'm not sure it's been seen sine, but it would be a good fit.
