I'm trying to remember a book I read in the mid- to late-90s where the teacher is an alien. I don't think it's the "My Teacher is an Alien" series (I suppose that would be too easy). The alien teacher is benevolent and befriends a student. There's a kind of bittersweet ending as the student helps the teacher evade the authorities and escape earth. ( Read more... )

I can't remember the name of this book that had short horror/scary stories in it. One story involved a babysitter who turned twin children (pre-teen age, maybe?) into hamsters/gerbils named Castor and Pollux. 1. This was a children's tv show that I watched in the late 90s or early 2000s. I want to say it was puppetry but it could have been stop motion animation or something similar. This was a non fiction, memoir book I read in the '90s about a teacher of a special class. (It was NOT Torey Hayden, though it was much along those lines). I thought it was called P.S.
