Another lovely, lazy afternoon in the apartment in Iowa. I got here Sunday evening and have been catching up with friends one by one. Yesterday I stopped in at my old job to see friends, and today I stopped in again to see the new managers. Japanese television officially annoys the shit out of me. For the past year they have had a marquee on the bottom part of the screen below the picture reminding viewers that on July 24th 2011, Japan will be switching from analog to digital broadcasting. Last Wednesday night I was cleaning my room when I pulled a nightstand drawer too far out, causing it to come straight off the track and fall onto my big right toe.
