Last night's episode of Gotham spent a lot of really boring time focusing on Jim and Bruce and on Ivy's still unexplained and weirdly boring plans to kill everybody for reasons no one knows. But then right near the end... J*GUFDEDEAAAS#^DSSWWSX!ZXVB!!!!! Do more of this, Gotham!

I'm not having much trouble with Windows 10 but Notepad ++ and Filezilla aren't as easy to intelligibly look at and use as my Arachnophilia and last FTP program were. Supernatural has been boring me so badly this year that I'm barely bothering. At least things are always going on in Gotham, the show where last episode's archenemy could become this episode's best ally--though sometimes it happens within a single episode--and even the mute orphan children are kind of shady ( Read more... )

As I threatened to earlier, I'm going to post some of my many thoughts about Gotham and its season 3 finale, which somehow managed to become the most anticipated finale for me of any TV I've watched this season and left me mostly satisfied.

I've been all about the Penguin/Riddler relationship this season. They're so much fun together, and ( spoilers )

Who knew that out of everything I've been watching, Gotham would be the season finale I would most be on pins and needles about? Or that, flawed as it always is, I'm actually quite satisfied with a lot of it? I watched the pilot episode of Riverdale and was nearly repulsed. I only made it halfway through. I've been known to get bored or annoyed but "ewww!" is an unusual reaction for me. I think part of it was the massive and ongoing emphasis on what a muscular, cut stud Archie is.

While season one of Gotham was very flawed but watchable, the first half of season two doubled down on all the things I didn't like while getting rid of the inventive That Guy casting and moments of humor I enjoyed. Two episodes into Into the Badlands, the fight scenes are beautiful, and it's novel and wonderful to see colors in a TV drama, but I don't care about any of these people or what they want.
