Amazing. I went into Manhattan tonight to see the Christmas windows, only to find out once there that Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Kleinfeld Bridal still haven't unveiled theirs and haven't announced dates for when they will. I went to my local precinct tonight, where I was told they will not make a police report or any kind of report or notes since my not having video evidence of the thief means the property is officially lost or missing, not stolen, and that's not a crime. I got my birth certificate application (to replace my stolen one) notarized for free at my bank Monday and mailed it out. Only ten weeks or more before it's set to arrive.I'm glad that was a victory, because after that I drove several miles to the HRA building to talk to someone about the theft of my important documents and ask how I can protect my ( Read more... ) -

Overall, I enjoyed this volume more than the first, but its beginning was rough for me. I only got this one because I wanted to know how volume 1's cliffhanger resolved. ( spoilers ) -

Whoever is choosing music for The Penguin series... last week we had the Cure's "A Forest," this week the Sisters of Mercy's "More" and Chris Isaak's "Black Flowers." Really amusing to me is that while the lyrics to "More" are applicable to the scene and characters, the show only plays the music of it, so it's like an added component for only a few -

I didn't expect this Halloween cat decoration to move! That bit of Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" coming from a nearby car at the end was somewhat fortuitous.
