Unhappily, I've learned that I have even less time to enjoy my local alternative radio station than I thought, because instead of it switching to a different format at the end of this year, it's ending the end of this month. To become a simulcast of a local AM news radio station, to be even more insulting and unnecessary.

I spent four hours putting up and decorating my six-foot tree alone. This is what being picky gets you. I hurt. I'll be tweaking and repositioning things the whole time it's up.

I broke one favored ornament ball--it couldn't have been the orange one from that set instead?--and part of a glass icicle. It's now a shorter glass icicle.

I have become one of Ins' countless minions. Wow. I thought I should feel different or something.

Always thought I was more of a minionizer than a minionizee.

LaT once said that she thinks my default LJ icon, the Queen of Hearts, looks a lot like me, and I can see it. Is there anybody who saw me at Escapade who's inclined to agree? Bueller?

Another thing I haven't recovered since Escapade is my ability to block things out. My senses are still sharper, and I'm noticing people around me too much. A sense of smell is not something you want to have operating at peak levels when you ride the subway, and mine is usually so acute already that I can't even wear perfume. I tried to go to sleep early last night to make up for my sleep deficit, but I couldn't sleep so it didn't work. I'm exhausted again this morning, and my body feels like overcooked pasta. I ended up missing my train stop this morning I was so tired. I recovered in time to get off at the next stop, which you can also use to transfer to the 4 and 5 ( Read more... )

Tens of them. So many I can't keep them all straight. I love you all, though. I kept getting overstimulated by all the people wandering around, necessitating the occasional retreat to isolation in my room, where I did some work on "Unraveling," the Median sequel.
