Pearl River Mart had to move its flagship store again, due to another rent increase and problems from lockdown and rising anti-Asian bias affecting sales figures. They're now at 452 Broadway between Howard and Grand, returning to SoHo. I've long suggested Pearl River Mart as a fun and interesting place to visit during a trip in Manhattan.

My new purse has arrived at last! It's a lot longer and bigger than I expected, more like a messenger bag than a purse in my estimation, but it should hold my stuff and maybe having the weight distributed differently will be easier on my shoulders. I spent four hours putting up and decorating my six-foot tree alone. This is what being picky gets you. I hurt. I'll be tweaking and repositioning things the whole time it's up.

I broke one favored ornament ball--it couldn't have been the orange one from that set instead?--and part of a glass icicle. It's now a shorter glass icicle.

In the "weird things that only happen to me" files....

I'm having a bad reaction to nail polish, but not like sores, like aching pain. Applying it makes the skin under my nails ache and the aching feeling spreads to the end of my nails and down to the first knuckles of my fingers. Sometimes all the way down the fingers. This nail polish job turned out nicer than I expected, though neither of these photos show the entire color range of the sparkles. It looks really nice when my hands are moving. One base coat, two coats of plain black, one coat of sparkle coat Rockstar Pink, and two coats of shiny clear on top. (Click to embiggen for more detail/sparkle.)
