Whoever is choosing music for The Penguin series... last week we had the Cure's "A Forest," this week the Sisters of Mercy's "More" and Chris Isaak's "Black Flowers." Really amusing to me is that while the lyrics to "More" are applicable to the scene and characters, the show only plays the music of it, so it's like an added component for only a few

I'm two episodes into The Franchise and wondering if anyone else is watching it. I enjoy parts of it but since it's about a film set in Hollywood the abuse, manipulation, and gaslighting are sometimes off the charts and a bit difficult for me to deal with as a viewer. I'm a bit sad about the season two premiere of House of the Dragon tonight because the friend I lost to cancer earlier this year watched season one as it aired "with" me via text messages and couldn't wait for season two. 'Nat, I'm watching season two for you.

I mostly liked the season finale of True Detective: Night Country, though I don't feel it completely stuck the landing on its various plots. ( spoilers )

Since my left ankle I injured Wednesday got worse, Friday morning I went to the podiatrist, and she wants me to wear a podiatric boot for 4 weeks and is worried about soft tissue damage, like tendon tearing, so I have an MRI appointment for February 6 ( Read more... )

Did anyone see the entire second season of Loki and feel like talking about it? My dad's out of the question because he's been lost this season, which is weird to me when he's watched decades of Doctor Who.
