i'm still kind of new to the whole vegan thing, and i did try to search but couldn't find much. i'm wondering what you guys do for homemade veggie broth/stock. i know how to make it for a chicken, but for some reason with veggies i'm at a loss. is it as simple as throwing a bunch of different stuff in a pot and boiling it down? thank you!!

This afternoon I found myself in the Asian supermarket with money to burn, so I stocked up on sriracha (naturally) and bought some veggies I don't normally buy. I've eaten them, but I've never tried to cook with them.

Do any of you have any experience cooking chokoes? The only ways I know of to prepare them are as pickles (I grew up with my pop's pickles, om nom nom) or just steamed, as my dad had them.

Hey, I want to start incorporating more vegetables into my diet. But I heavily dislike salad. I much prefer cooked vegetables, but am sick of the ol vegetable curries.

What are some yummy spices/sauces/condiments/flavourings that I could put with vegetables?
Or ways of cooking them?

Other than soup and stir fry (both which I am destined to eat this week, sigh), what can I do with the crap ton of broccoli, cauliflower, leeks, potatoes, yams, kale, spinach, chard, bok choy, and carrots in my fridge? My weekly CSA box has been jam packed with these veggies lately (and not nearly enough fruit!).

Any ideas would be appreciated!
