Tonight we had roasted tomato, chilli and caper pasta and made scones for dessert. The pic doesn't show them with jam and 'cream' inside, but that's what we had. Both recipes were good so I thought I'd share. Oh, and I had raw spinach salad with the pasta which isn't shown either. I pretty much can't move now, but it was worth it!

I am helping a friend learn how to cook, and tomorrow night's lesson is mushroom pasta, with peach cobbler for dessert (and probably bruschetta to start). I need a wine to go with it. Most people don't believe that peanut butter goes with everything. Mostly this is because they haven't tried.

Until today one of the things I hadn't tried peanut butter with yet was pasta-style tomato sauce, so I couldn't be completely sure that it would work. I am almost sure that it goes with absolutely everything as long as you do it right, ( Read more... )

It is widely known that I am a paranoid and also not brilliant cook. I follow recipes obsessively and if I have one leaf less of basil I can get a tad hysterical.
