November is not quite over yet, but I'm throwing in the towel on my attempt at NaNoWriMo. At the moment I'm sitting on 9,553 words, but intend to break 10k before the month is over. I'm probably going to ramble a bit and I doubt all y'all care, so this is getting a cut or two.

Changed the water in my fish tank again. It was a little too green and opaque for my liking. This time I:

Killed 0 fish.
Set 0 fires (sorry, allocatee).
Extinguished 0 Shelbies.

Clearly I just wasn't trying hard enough.

So I had jury duty for the first time yesterday. And by "I had jury duty," I of course mean that I woke up at 6:30, drove to the Thomas Sullivan courthouse by 8am, sat there for five and a half hours, and left. If not for Mahjong on my iPod I may have died from boredom ( Read more... )

Note to self: When cleaning the fish tank, unplug and turn off the heat source. That way, when it breaks and you toss it in the trash you don't start a fire in the living room.

Note to self (addendum): When putting out fish tank related fires, try not to spray Shelby with the fire extinguisher unless she is actually on fire.
