This sucks.
You never know what you have until it's gone, right? Well, Curtis has become more liberated than ever from his television viewing habits since moving to this...complex...and getting...ugh, whatever. Curtis wakes up...outside.
He has, at first, forgotten why he is outside, and where outside he is, and his reaction involves a fair bit of hyperventilating. Curtis is sitting on the couch in front of his TV, staring blankly ahead - not at the TV (which isn't on at the moment), but at the creature sitting in front of it completely blocking his view. Curtis wakes up. He stares at the ceiling for a long time and then rolls onto his side toward Newbie. He shakes Newbie's shoulder. "Psst...hey, wake up...did I go outside yesterday??" he asks, trying not to sound as panicked as he feels. -

Curtis wakes up feeling great. He feels invigorated, better than ever! He turns on his side with a contented yawn and a stretch and smiles affectionately at Newbie lying next to him. Curtis is sitting in front of the TV, eyes glazed, the remote loose in his hand. The TV is playing an infomercial about exercise equipment, something even Curtis wouldn't normally watch, but it doesn't seem like he's all there. He may be thinking, but if he is his expression gives nothing away.
