Newbie stumbles down the staircase in the dark, taking a railing to the kidneys in an effort to shield the baby in his arms from the impact. "Ow!" he yelps. He can't even rub at it without dislodging the toddler. "Hera! Rub it for me! Use your feet!"

Hera replies by pulling Newbie's hair.

Curtis looks over at the sudden yelp and the voice that follows. "Craig?" he calls, wondering what's up.

"Curtis!" Newbie's voice is unusally thick with relief. "Help, I got my niece!"

"Craig, you don't have any nieces," Curtis says. And even if he does, Curtis doesn't want any third parties involved with his afternoon plans.
