Curtis really does want to kill whoever nominated Newbie for Council. "Sure they do. I looked into it while you were gone," he lies easily. "You came in twelfth place, it was really close."
Newbie stares at him. "Twelfth place out of eleven? So, I'm like...on the Almost Council?"
"Yeah, exactly," Curtis says, nodding a little. Now he just has to hope that one of the council members doesn't end up dead during this term. Unless Newbie really is in twelfth place, he has no idea. "And that's important, right?"
