Something you will not see commuting in a car:a great blue heron flying along the C&O Canal, overtaking and passing you.

Coming home last Monday (May 6), I came across the Roosevelt Bridge because there'd been a lot of rain and the C&O Towpath was muddy. But after I got across the river, the trail was closed going north past Roosevelt Island to Rosslyn.
