I came back from our brief flit to Floridia to find my snowpea plants all dead, a tomato sprout deeply intimidated, and my fish gravely ill. The plants, well they were worse than i expected. So, Ladies Night at the Range was fucking Fabulous, and I encourage many ladies to join us on the next one. For maybe an hour and a bit, Sarah D, Kristen and me took turns shooting a Ruger III, and a Berretta92fs. The Ruger was awesome. You could reasonably hit what you pointed it at. So vlad went under the knife today with unknown chances, and things went well! It turned out that he has boy parts hidden away in there, and the doctor whipped up some fancy surgering to get them where they needed to be, doing what they need to do. So, I got word today that not only is the shelter going to help with what i put into diagnosing Vladimir, their only suggestion is to either adopt him myself, or bring him in to be put down. Having no urethra, his best chance is a surgery that costs about 1,000 or so dollars. It would be one thing to find a home for a special needs kitty, but he ( Read more... )

I started my new job today, an admin assistance job with a non profit that helps the elderly and previously homeless have a place to live as well as provides other services. It's pretty rad. It's a faith-based organization that is working towards interfaith status, so awesome. I am very happy with this as a place to be for many reasons ( Read more... )
