SO.
Two of my kittens developed life-threatening problems this weekend. Leona puked and shat out 1/2 her body weight over one and a half days, and Vladimir's peehole healed shut. Wow.
SO.
Leona had a raging case of coccidea. apparently all the kittens have it, but it could have killed her at that rate. Vladimir went in for a catheter, but they soon discovered something odd. HE HAS NO URETHRA. none. he may or may not have been born with one. Dr. Benson think he might be a hermaphrodite.
I have the best kittens. I'm starting ot see why Rachel doesn't like kittens. they're adorable timebombs of filth.
anyhow, hopefully he keeps peeing out of the peehole he made for himself. it might actually heal into something resembling a urethra. So I've been terribly worried about finding him a home but then a friend came over and said she'd like to adopt him. because she's been wanting another cat, specifically an orange cat. and she has experience with male kitty pee issues.
So, miraculously, today seems to have worked out. I put $250 that i may or may not have into it, but hopefully I'll get some of that back. and my kitties aren't dying. and one has a home waiting for him. I couldn't really ask for more.
I've been worried sick all weekend. I'm not entirely sure how to go from so sad to so happy, but i'm getting there.
