Festivids went up today! Here's the masterlist. For those unfamiliar, festivids is a type of fandom exchange involving making vids for fandoms/series/movies with few (or none). Fanvid Recs - Radiohead
So I've watched a fair amount of fanvids, but rarely rec. I'm seeking to correct this. But I like themes. By artist appeals to me more than by fandom right now. It's interesting to see how the group's music is used for different fandoms, by vidders with different styles. So, I think that by now everyone has seen this ridiculous chart about female character stereotypes. Basically, they raided tv tropes but forgot the "tropes are not inherently bad" part. I mean, obviously female characters get the short end of the stick more often in terms of complexity. The default view is still masculine. Women are much more ( Read more... )
