I went down to the spine clinic in Minneapolis yesterday. I finally know what’s wrong with my back. The surgeon looked at my MRI and had some xrays taken. The curvature of my spine has gotten way worse. It’s really curved. Three discs are completely crushed. So the vertebrae are rubbing on one another and causing bone spurs. I’m OK. Thanks for your concern. The benedryl did the trick. I didn’t go to the ER. I’d rather saw my arm off than spend four or 5 hours down there. So I’m glad everything cleared up. I just had a glass of orange juice and was going to go to bed. Then my face turned red/purple, my skin got all blotchy, shortness of breath, itching everywhere, achey. I'm having some sort of allergic reaction. My friend went to get some benedryl to see if that helps. If not..back to the er. Fun never stops around here!

The hiring process is just about done. I already hired one really cool person. I’m not sure when she’ll be able to start but it should be soon. I’ve pretty much settled on the second person as well. I had an appointment with the physiatrist today. I like him a lot. I found out a lot of things I didn’t know. The most serious of them being that 10 years ago they found compression fractures at the T10, 11 and 12 levels in my back. No one told me and I just found out about that this morning. It's been an interesting couple of weeks. I sent my chair to get fixed on September 18. I got it back on the 29th. That's almost two weeks! Some of the parts were on backorder and others had to be specially made. So everything took a lot longer than expected. However, both motors need to be replaced. I'm testing Windows Vista. So I haven't checked my journal for a few days. Vista has a few bugs in it but overall it's pretty cool. It has a new look. The window borders and menus look like glass and are transparent. It also has 3-D features. It has built in voice recognition that works almost as well as naturallyspeaking. Well yesterday was another red letter day in my life. Actually, it sucked big-time. I fell out of bed last night. That's the first time that that's ever happened.
