Light was still mulling over the conversation he'd had with L. He wasn't sure where he stood with the detective, or whether or not he'd been able to smooth over L's doubts with enough lies. Regardless, he took his walk, as he normally did, around the same time every night, so he'd always have an alibi.

Just in case he ever needed one.

Things were as strange as ever in Rivelata, random objects appearing overhead in the sky, and now snow was sticking to the ground. Light looked up at whatever was floating above them, and winced at the brightness of it all.

--

Suddenly, he was enveloped in something. There was no air, only a thick, mucus-like membrane all around him. Like being born all over again, he shoved at the wall containing him.

He was naked, and Light could swear there were people around him, talking. He squeezed his eyes shut, willing himself not to fall for what was obviously an illusion and was then on his knees in the snow, back in Rivelata.Gasping, he looked around to see if anyone had seen his moment of weakness. No ( ... )

Tamaki was walking back to the house with bags filled in his hands. He had met so many new friends in here, which meant that he had so many friends to buy presents for Christmas. He could just imagine their smiling faces when they all saw what he had gotten them. It all seemed so exciting ( ... )

Schuldig liked Christmas. He liked most holidays in fact, but Christmas was one of the most dis paring times of the year. It was better than that joke Valentines' day, because it was a family holiday. Sure people moped about Valentines' day, but they didn't kill themselves over it. No, Christmas deserved the title as Suicide Holiday. It was in part due to Winter, and the lack of sunlight often caused people to be go into seasonal depression, but it Christmas itself was impossible to ignore, wherever you were. Anyone with family issues, anyone who suffered financial issues got completely stressed out for weeks! THe stress far outweighed the happiness he'd found, with most people secretly loathing the holiday because of the work, money and stress they went through. It was, above all other holidays, the most superficially happy and secretly miserable holiday of all. So aside from the pretty lights he enjoyed, the presents, and the food, there was the misery ( ... )

There she stood, next to the Queen in the throne room. It was the first time she'd been required to advise the Queen in any kind of formal matter befitting her office in a few years ( ... )

He'd been trying to be careful, but it was like being in Crawford's head when the vision stuck. A telepath couldn't experience a prescient's visions. The wiring of the brain was just too different. This wasn't a prescient's vision however, this was something else. Like seeing the past. But it had the same impact as Crawford's. It was a lot like a hammer striking a glass. Pieces of his mind splintered and crumbled underneath.

He dropped the mug of hot wine and shrieked mentally in fear and pain and collapsed into his own mind, not so much lost inside of himself, but having lost his sense of self completely.

Housing District (was supposed to be posted yesterday) thirteenthnoone December 26 2008, 15:18:20 UTC
Roxas was in the house he and Axel shared, preparing to go out and give some presents to the people he knew. Pushing open the door, he started. There was that stupid light in the sky again, the blonde squinting as he tried to shield his eyes. But his arms wouldn't move, and something was enveloping him and he couldn't escape it...

---

Roxas was walking through the dark streets of the World That Never Was, looking straight ahead and ignoring anything on either side of him. That included Axel when he passed the redhead who was leaning against a wall ( ... )

Kasa had heard the stories of people experiencing visions when they looked at the haze, so she had tried her best to avoid that. The last thing she needed was some strange vision that would most likely do nothing but confuse and irritate her.

However, that night, she couldn't help but glance up at the sky as the snow began to collect. And when she looked up, her eyes couldn't help but be drawn to the dancing colours and light of that haze. Suddenly she was no longer in Rivelata. She was wrapped in warmth, like a baby in its mother's womb. There was a sense of vertigo, and then a scene appeared before her eyes.

All the while people scurried about shedding the blood of 'evil twins' or exploring the lighthouse or just acting as if things had finally returned to 'normal', whatever 'normal' was for There, He had been busy... very busy ( ... )
