They were losing, 41-0. He had to stop Taka, he and Monta together. There were only ten minutes left in the game and they had to catch up now. Eyes only on Taka, he stopped marking Yamato and tackled Taka to the ground, while Monta grabbed the ball, scoring the first touch down of the game.

So, as he quietly settled down at the kitchen table with a hot cup of tea, his journal laid out in front of him, Cloud was not expecting anything strange to happen because of his decision to merely look out the window to see what the hell was so bright in the sky.

"Aerith, no, no --" He gasped out sharply, jumping to his feet with a jolt and accidentally knocking the chair over. His hands were pressed against the wooden surface of the table, their shaking carried over from his vision. Cloud was vaguely aware of the fact that the burning sensation in his eyes had carried over as well.
