Cucumbers (one or as many as you'd like)
dried dill (the most expensive ingredient- will run you about $3-$4 for a tiny jar that will last you at least 2 years if you aren't using it every day in greek omlettes...more on that later)

so i'm learning that food shopping doesn't HAVE to be uber expensive....and i can still cook yummy dinners for half of what i had been spending even a month ago. i've found a few cheap eats/cooking sites that are really helping too....

Has anybody seen any good deals on window air conditioners lately?  My landlord is going to reimburse me for two of them (yay!) and while i could probably get away with running out and buying whatever I prefer to be thrifty.  I've seen good deals on the really little ones, but those are only good for a 10 X10 room, I need something a little bigger ( Read more... )

The hubby and I are trying to really make a good effort on not eating out and putting that money torwards our debts. So we need to cook more. Might anyone have any good ideas on cheap AND healthy recipes? A few exceptions though. No seafood - I'm allergic. We also aren't into anything super spicy or exotic.
