I'd prefer fresh dill. That you can grow in a pot :)

Well ya see- I have a black thumb. I've had a Jade plant for about a month and it hasn't died yet...so i may try growing herbs soon. Again. Last year I picked up 2 small potted basil plants from the grocery store (you know- the kind you find for like $2 next to the overpriced tomatoes). I watered them adequately-maybe too adequately! I don't know. But they died within the week. I salvaged enough to make pesto for two people.
So for those of us who are horticulturaly inept- The dried dill works perfectly well. Tea leaves are dry and they make a tasty beverage- so why not dry herbs to flavor a dressing.
(the absence of commas as well as a questionmark are due to frugality. My keyboard is as broke as i am!)

A lot of grocery stores sell cut fresh herbs - they're not cheap, but for stuff that doesn't involve a cooking process to get the flavor out, it tastes SO much better (and they're better for you!)

BTW, a new keyboard runs about 5 bucks. Odds are, you've just got something stuck under the key, though.

I slice cucumber into and old pickle jar that still has the juice remaining. After a few days you get fresh batch of pickles. This works great for me as I only eat pickles occasionally. I just save the juice in the fridge until I want pickles.

Mmmmmm! My grandpa used to make this all the time when I was a kid. He'd toss in a sliced onion too. =)

Hey, OT, but I have a spare keyboard that's perfectly functional but not ergonomic like the one my parents recently gave me... if you'd like it, I'd be happy to mail it to you, just to know that it's going to a good home. :)
