Hello, everyone--

It's only every once in a while that I find or conceive of a truly good budget recipe. It's very disheartening to see "economical" recipes with ingredients (say, meat) that already cost good money or are just variations on rice and beans. i found this recipe online & as i LOVE those lipton side dishes (the rice & noodle ones) i thought maybe this would be worth a try...

1 envelope dry onion soup mix

A few years ago, I recall my mom receiving a batch of "Amish Friendship Bread" starter. The most I can recall out of it was the fact that over about 2 months, we had enough bread to feed us, and plenty to give to neighbors. My girlfriend asked me to help her find some food banks here locally, shes strapped for food and needs to feed her sons, We live in Delnad Fl. and if anybody knows of places we can check out I would be really grateful.

Just a heads up that Kroger has whole chickens for $0.59/lb right now (which is a 50% savings) -- most range from $2.50-4.00.  My partner and I stock up every time they have this sale and freeze the chickens, they thaw wonderfully.  We manage to always have some in the freezer and not buy any other chicken.  They can be stretched REALLY far.  (And ( Read more... )

I am a college student taking 6 classes. I really don't have too much free time outside of school but sometimes I need extra money. I have signed up for a few local temporary work Agencies that often have one day work situations.
