Hi, I just joined this community.  Just wondering if anyone had any clever recipes that are somewhat healthy, will last long, and are cheap?  Also, what are items that you feel are necessary to have in your cupboards?

In our house, we have a heap of names for dog treats. Treats, cookies, bikkits, biskies, biscuits, nummies... Amazingly, no matter what we call them, the dogs (who cannot remember to stay out of the kitchen while I'm cooking, no matter how many times I trip over them) figure out the new name within a day. I have ten limes leftover from a party we threw Friday. I've made lime cookies (that I altered a bit) and was looking for other uses for these lovely little green guys. The boy is doing really well on his healthy eating + working out - ness, so I'm trying to avoid key lime pie.

So. If live gives you ten limes - make limeaide? Or what.
