I recieved a gift card to a local meat packing store from my work (trade). I went to the store and was overwhelmed. A kid behind the counter convinced me buying red meat by the 5 pound bag was the best deal ( Read more... )

SHEPHERD'S PIE. THAT IS MY FAVORITE GROUND BEEF DISH EVAAAAAAR!

Meatloaf (which I hate, but no one else does) or salisbury steak (which I made for dinner tonight, YUM)!

Shepard's pie is also a one-pot-meal if you think about it. With meatloaf and stuff like that you need things like rice or veggies and whatnot, but Shepard's Pie has it all! :D

I love to just mix up hamburger with cheesy rice, or, one of my favorite comfort foods from childhood, hamburger with plain ol' white rice with soy sauce over all. Mmmm. Well, those are for those days when you feel like keeping it simple. :-)

Hamburger Helper and stuff like that is such a waste of money...dishes like these where you mix the stuff up on your own is the best!

allrecipes.com is a great resource and every library I've ever been to has had at least a couple book just of ground beef recipes ;-)
