☪ The beast of Paradise

Mammals

Drop Bear
Drop bears, unlike most of the population after dark, are incredibly cute and relatively small. They look rather like koalas with the addition of a short, goat-like tail that is constantly twitching. How the drop bears feed, however, is anything but cute. As the name implies, they wait in trees and drop on any unsuspecting victim that walks by, mauling off the ears, scalp, and face of the person as they try to get to the main course; the brain. Drop bears are immune to holy water and salt, but are killable in many other fashions.

Leucrota
A cloven hoofed quadruped, 3 to 4 feet tall at the shoulder. The body of a leucrota resembles a deer, yet the neck and chest are covered in shaggy, thick fur like a lion and the tail is similarly fashioned, being long with a tuft of fur at the end. The head resembles that of a badger, with jaws that open all the way back beneath the ears. Leucrota are viscious and deadly hunters, using the ridge of bone that serves as their teeth to crush anything their victim may use to keep them at bay, even metal. Leucrota are known to lure prey away from safety by mimicking the voices of familiar people, calling for help or otherwise beckoning. They can be killed a variety of ways, but note that while only one may be visible, Leucrota are prone to hunting in packs.

Lizard

Salmadour
The size of a house cat, this creature will nip at your toes, fingers and anything it's piranha sharp teeth can bite into. They like heat, and will often be found between sand and lava rocks. They are attracted to the smell of sulfur- however they do not like hot springs, the moist in the air agitates their very rough and dry skin. They're quick on their feet, and have among the best perimeter sight. Their appetite consists of mice, birds, gerbils, anything of that size and nature. Their scales change to camouflage to their surroundings. Careful where you rest your hands and feet, they're territorial.

Easterhorn
Named appropriately for their Easter-Pattern spots on their body, and when they're rolled up they nearly make an oval. They weigh near eighty pounds and are just shy the size of a full grown pig. Their limbs are long and complete with talons to their feet. Two horns grow between their massive round eyes, with a third bump indicating a tried horn growth. Though they will rather attack with their claws, as they keep their vulnerable eyes protected by their lashing tongue. Swatting away danger with precision. They live on ground level, in the forest.

Dragladour
This creature is incredibly ill-tempered and about the size of a large hound. He will attack a flower moved by the breeze. It has a horrible odor to its breath as his mouth will open and let out a hiss as he comes in for bite with jaws as strong as alligators. Though there are rumors that this creature can evolve into something much larger, nobody has witnessed the process. Because of the aggressive nature, nobody has been able to capture one and bring it back for further study. The Dragladour lives near the lakes and loves humidity and gets its name because it drags the meals back home, versus eating it where they kill.

Basilisk
In short, if you see this towering eight foot creature, run. It has been spotted in the deeper parts of the forest, carrying creatures as large as cows without any strain. There has been little to none recorded about this rather fierce monster- being so, there has been no hunt request for it.

Zombie
Dead and re-animated by the world as they are moved by their God-given hope to be saved. Motivated to be reunited with those they love. (the safe haven.) They will lurk near the familiar paths home, and should you chance upon a sighting they will try and smother you with their decayed bodies -- which they will take your life by mouth in respect to their nature; The more life they eat, the more animated they become.

However they no longer feel the need to feed, and this gives you opportunity to survive their reign - if you can last long enough before they utilize all their energy.
