If you wish to apply a character, please copy and paste everything in the below box, fill in the appropriate information and add it in a comment to this entry. Applications are processed as soon as the moderators are able to come to a final decision.
If you're applying a character you reserved recently, please add "Reserved character" in the subject line, next to the character's name.
If your application does not fit into one comment, split your application into as many comments are needed. You can mark them as part 1, part 2, etc, if you feel the need. Links to applications in a journal entry are accepted as well.
PLAYER INFORMATION:
Name/Alias: What you wish to be listed as on the player contact page.
Age: Due to Live Journal's Terms of Service, all players must be at least 13 years of age. However, this RP incorporates dark themes and entries of a graphic/sexual nature, so our required age for this game is 17+
Personal Journal: Your personal journal.
Screen Name: Your AIM handle, MSN or Yahoo. Some messenger ID for contact information.

CHARACTER INFORMATION:
Name: Your character's name.
Age: If the specific age is unknown, please use an approximate.
Fandom: Where are they coming from? If it is an Original Character, please note as such.
User Icon: An icon of your choice you'd like to represent your character on the Taken listing. Please put the LINK ONLY - not the picture. Example: http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/97769747/25167451
HMD: A link to your character's "How's My Driving" post. An HMD is basically an entry in your character's journal that provides others with an opportunity to leave feedback. They are not mandatory for Paradise Lost, but we do include them due to the monthly HMD posts we have for all players.
Point in Canon: Fandom characters only; from what point in the plot are you bringing them into Paradise Lost? For Original Character please provide us with a "Character Information" link for your OC.
Physical Description of Character: Basically what you character looks like. What they wear, any identifying physical traits, etc. You may link to a picture of your character, but we still want to see it written out, as well.
Personality: MEAT AND POTATOES! This is probably the most important part of the application. Please tell us about your character's personality; this should be at least two good paragraphs.
History of the Character: You may post a link to a reference, or give us a summary of the character's history in your own words, if so, please write at least two moderate sized paragraphs.
Other RP experience (if applicable): Bringing your character from another RP? Great! Just give us a summary of what's happened to them there, complete with a few links to threads, logs, etc, and of course any important relationships that might affect your character's history or personality.
Magical Powers/Skills: A detailed list of the skills and abilities your character possesses his/herself. But consider carefully, because this is Paradise, and Paradise has its own type of magic. If your character relies on an outside source - like Materia - to perform magic, the replenishment for that source will more than likely not exist here and the refueling of that source will be pulled from your character's own energy. You may post links, as well.
Weapons: Self-explanatory. For magical weapons, please give a detailed description, especially if the weapon changes form. You may post links, as well.
SAMPLES:
Personal LJ Sample: First-person entry. Basically your character's thoughts, spoken words, etc. Try to include at least five sentences.
Third-Person Sample: An example of how you would write your character in a roleplay log, primarily third person past tense. No word limit, but please think it through and be concise.
