Ok, not really Shepherd's Pie. I guess it's a take on Cottage Pie but I'm not about to change what I tell the kids, that'd freak them out!

I've been working on cooking a lot more. Trying to get to where we eat out less than once a month. So far we're at like every 3 weeks, but that in itself is a huge step. In doing this I decided I should record some of my recipes.

For most of this year I've been doing "no 'poo" not using traditional shampoo. I've been cleaning my hair with baking soda and water and conditioning with water and vinegar. I don't do those daily. My mom is one of 9 kids (and my dad is one of 8!). I was the first born grandchild on my mom's side and at the time her youngest brother was only 7 years old. He was my Uncle Joey and he broke ties with the family almost 20 years ago. This week I found out he died about 2 years ago. :-( It's really hitting me hard ( Read more... )

Yesterday we did Bountiful Baskets for the second time. I LOVE IT!! I really love drinking. (That totally makes me sound like an alcoholic or something but really I drink very little. Even now when I'm feeling positively wasted I've had a little more than half a beer.) But the point is that I think I'm just too up tight. A little booze and life seems so much easier and breezier.
