Well, guess I should update
Especially since not everyone who reads my blog here was at my wedding on April 28th. :)
David and I were married on April 28th with 10 friends and family present.

Sometimes dogs are just GROSS
So, sitting here at the computer. Had just gone out to get the dogs, as David let them out and they were gone awhile. They came running up from the front of the house, happy to see me. This morning's joy was freezing rain. My car had a nice sheen on it when I arrived at work. Fortunately, the road never looked greasy, and all the other drivers sharing it with me at the time were playing nicely and driving carefully as well. So I made it in. Where is spring?
Dammit. I am officially sick of snow. I want greenery. I want warm days and cool nights, not more of these 12 degree nights when I'm out of firewood. Oh, the electric heaters are keeping us warm enough (and there are blankets to spare, plus, I have two dogs and a cat, so I will always be warm) but ... *sigh* -
Finally! I will be a spinner...
I was at the yarn store the other day to buy replacement knitting needles for those the dogs ate (grr and yay at the same time - replaced bamboo with birch, so happy about that). This time the yarn sister was in (store is owned by sisters. It covers yarn sports and quilting - one sister does yarn, one does fabric) and I asked her about a display ( Read more... ) -

It's so quiet now that brother is taken home and deposited there. Just me and the critters. Max! had a bit of a screaming fit this morning but is better now. I woke up before Fuzzy's traditional first attack on Diva so haven't had to listen to them yelling and hissing. Today's culinary treat
Roasted garlic! Kevin had told me of seeing jars of roasted garlic for sale in California. We decided to do it ourselves. 5 bulbs of garlic were roasted (chop the top off the bulb to allow the olive oil to permeate. Drizzle some olive oil on, garnish with some salt, roast in 400 degree oven for 30 minutes or so. Let cool, slide from skins, use ( Read more... )
