I love the internet.
About a month ago I swapped yarns with someone from an LJ knitswap community. Got rid of my sock yarns (5 skeins which I just knew I'd never use - I prefer fatter yarn) and got fuzzy alpaca goodness in return (9 skeins!). Today I swapped some $30 in sock yarn (2 skeins of fancy stuff I just bought for the swap) for over $50 in other sock yarn (like 15 skeins of "lesser" yarns!), since I realized that the one pair of socks that has lasted is the one knitted in sock yarns... They just take sooooo long. But it was quite the deal, so I jumped on it. For those who know, she swapped 2 skeins of Koigu KPPPM for over 15 skeins of knitpicks and 2 of something else, but not knitpicks...Jahrwohl? I have sock yarns for years now!
