Ever have one of those days when you really ought to have your Jedi mind shields up a little harder?

Yeah. THis is one of those.

Ray looks up from the coffee he's been slugging back to get through the night in Chicago and blinks. "Oh, hey," he says. "Hi there. You're new, aren't you?"

She turns... and her smile could light up a room.

"I guess I'm new here, Ray," she says brightly, pulling up a couple of textbooks and holding them to her chest with barely concealed affection for the volumes. She pulls the reading glasses up onto her hair. "But it's nice to see a familiar face. Where am I?"

Oh. Oh wow. No wonder she's managed to impress Egon!

Ray beams fondly. "You mean you didn't recognize the place? I'm surprised. Welcome to Milliways. Hasn't somebody told you about the Bar at the End of the Universe before? I thought for sure you'd know by now."

She laughs and shakes her head.

"You showed me a couple of proofs that you'd mentioned you'd worked out here, but I've never gotten to come before. Oh, does my father know about this?"

President Winston, of course.

Sooraya's on her way out of the Security office when she sees someone enter through the Front Door. Wait. Is that...who she thinks it is?

Of course it is!

"What're you doing here, hmm?" Prisma says with a smile. She gives her a brilliant smile. "I've just found this place."

Oh, it's good to see you! I hadn't thought any of the (insert longwinded adjective) X-Men knew about Milliways."

She's grinning. "How's my brother treating you, Prisma?"

She blushes faintly, the color on her cheeks especially flattering to her exotic red eyes.

"Perfectly, of course," she says. "And I couldn't be happier."

Giles was distractedly reading his textbooks as he often did. So it took him a moment to notice someone arriving in the bar.

There did seem something oddly familiar about her.

"Good evening."

Of course there is! How could he forget--

"Oh, Uncle Rupert!" she says, practically skipping over as she gives him a lovely smile. "I haven't seen you for ages. I didn't know you were coming. Though the house does seem to have a new addition on it."

How could he indeed? Though it had been some time since he's seen his favorite niece.

He smiled warmly back at her, "Why of course, my dear. I could have sworn I had mentioned it the last time we spoke? And does it, how nice. How have you been?"

"Very well," she tells him, blushing faintly. "I'm still working on my education, of course. The process never ends. And I've... I've found someone, if I may say, though it's a bit early to bring him home to Mother and Father. And you?

"Other than in this place. I'm assuming this is the fabled Milliways?"

George had finally managed to get his helmet back and yet again was going to attempt to return back to Holland...

...that was before the seemingly familiar woman entered into the room. Maybe she was one of the nurses? or just someone from Holland?

Whoever she was the Easy Company radioman and resident funny man could just not place a name to that familiar face.

She turns and smiles at him, remembrance in her expression. That night, what seemed like long ago where they'd seen one another. That dance...

She blushes faintly and finds a table.

That dance..in Aldbourne, England before they shipped out for D-day. "F-Faye," Luz croaks highly unexpecting to see the pretty woman again and half expectning Allison to jump out of a corner and say something.

Thus the reasons that George is blushing bright red and hurridly making his way towards her. "I..you...Welcome to Milliways.."

She turns to him again, smiling up at him with a sad sort of happiness at his approach.

"George? Oh, George, is it really you? And this place... I thought it looked different than the last time, but I didn't know you were back!"

Shiori looks up quickly from her tea with an expression of shock on her face. She hadn't expected to see someone else from Ohtori so soon.

The girl, the new girl, looks mournfully at Shiori. She hadn't expected to find someone from the Academy here. She'd been trying to escape that place if only for a few minutes...

Woe.

Shiori forces a very shaky smile onto her face. "It's so nice to see you here, ah..." she's forgotten her name for the moment. "Would you like tea?" She pauses. "Have you been here before?" she asks lamely.

"Julia," she says sadly. There's something haunted and lost in her eyes, something hollow and faint. "And no, I've never been here before."
