Daphne, will you come out with my parents and I at half term. I know you've been upset with me but I don't understand why and I'd really like you to come.

I can't wait to see the second formers' play. Alice is word-perfect now, I'm so proud of her. I hope all this helps her get over her shyness with her form.

I was helping Alice practise her lines for the second from play this evening. Alice is playing the part of Lysander and I was reading Hermia. We were rehersing the part in 1:1 where Lysander and Hermia speak of their love and make their plans to run away. The ramble was such fun. It was so nice to have fun as a form again. Poor Gwen didn't seem to agree though.

Everything was getting better until Gwendoline decided to write that nasty entry in her journal. It's awful now. Everyone was so looking forward to the ramble but now everyone is angry and unhappy. I'm so glad everyone's feeling happy again now. It feels like a dark cloud has lifted from over North Tower. Daphne's much happier too and now Betty's come back, Alicia won't be without her friend any more. I noticed little Alice sitting with a couple of girls from her form today as well. Even she seems to have cheered up.

Today Alicia asked me if I wanted her to have a word with Moira about this extra games practice she has in mind. I do want her to because this is not about getting out of games (which I have never tried to do) but about us being picked on for not liking the same things as Moira.
