I don't know anymore, Mary Lou. Honest. Part of me says that we really should try to keep her out of more trouble but the worry is about to kill me. You know I think the world of her but our Daphne isn't always the most sensible of girls. Bill can take very good care of Clarissa, of course, but what if Daphne isn't with them?

I don't want to get Darrel and Alicia into trouble. I suggest we go to them and insist that they report Daphne's absence. If they refuse we'll go to the Grayling ourselves. I hope it doesn't come to that.
Oh, dear. I don't think we can go to Darrell or Alicia anymore. Not with that note Alicia just left us all. You and I will have to work this out alone, I'm afraid. Let's meet and decide what to do and then... Well, I suppose we shall have to go to Grayling.
