Book Recs Wanted!
Hi helpful LJ friends. I am headed out to the mall later today, and plan to shop for books. Please comment if you've read anything (non-HP) lately that you've really enjoyed. Sue's Week in Review
House Project: Two weeks ago, I had both kids away and started my bathroom remodeling project. It was supposed to take five days, since I'd already gathered all of the items I thought I'd need. Busy Weekend
So yesterday, I spent most of my day on my feet. I took the dog for a long walk and then spent the next six hours or so fixing food to take to the family of my friend who just had a brain tumor removed. It's Tax Day!
Hubby and I are exhausted, but we finally managed to whittle our tax liability down from about $2,800 to under $100. We went through a mountain of receipts and paperwork, calculated mileage, combed through every expense to maximize our deductions. I am so relieved by not having to pay in a huge amount, I feel like I've won the lottery ( Read more... )
