Summary: Casey and Luke get in a car crash

After about six hours, the doctor came out to update Reid and the family. They had almost lost Luke twice, but they were able to get him back. Reid looked a little relived knowing Luke had made it though. Reid asked the doctor if he could go and see Luke, and the doctor agreed.
Reid walked down the hall, still a little hung-over but more awake now. He looked at Luke lying there on the hospital bed helpless. He immediately started to tear up again, frozen. He slowly walked into the room, over to the bed and held onto Luke’s hand. He sat in a chair next to Luke all night long, his head rested on Luke’s arm, still holding onto Luke's hand.
The next morning a nurse came in to check on Luke, Reid still by Luke’s side. Holden, Lily and the rest were in Luke’s room waiting. The kids, Faith, Natalie, and Ethan had been sent to Lily’s place. Holden and Lily thought, rightly, that for them to see Luke looking like this wouldn’t have been good for them. Casey, Chris, Katie, and Jack took turns checking in on them, making sure they were doing ok.
When Casey looked in on Ethan, Faith and Natalie, Ethan ran up to Casey and he lifted Ethan off the ground.
Ethan asked Casey, “Where’s Luke? Why is everyone sad?” Casey didn’t know what to say to him. Casey looked sad, and Ethan told him, “Don’t be sad.” Casey put Ethan down and he ran off to his room.
Natalie and Faith asked Casey how Luke was doing, and he explained that “Luke is still asleep, but the surgery went well.” Faith and Natalie assured Casey that they would try to explain things to Ethan. Casey left to go back to the hospital to be with Luke.
Holden and Lily were out in the hall talking and Reid was sleeping with his head down on Luke’s bed. Holden told Casey that things should be fine; so far all the tests were good. Casey felt a little relieved and hoped that Luke would wake up soon. Just then, an alarm went off in Luke’s room. Reid looked up sharply and looked at Luke and his monitor. Doctors and nurses rushed into the room, pulling Reid off of Luke. Luke’s kidneys were failing, and suddenly, Luke was in danger of dying.
They rushed Luke back into the OR to help repair his failing kidneys as Reid looked on horrified.
