I'm visiting my family in Indiana this week over Labor Day weekend. Been kinda crazy tho esp. trying to cram everything in before I fly back to Seattle on Thurs. On Mon. we went out to do some errands, one was stopping by Target and Walmart so Ben and I could buy some Indiana and Colts souvenirs for ourselves and for Ben's young niece and nephew (who asked for Colts attire). Afterwords we ate at Chik-Fil-A for lunch (not in Seattle) and headed over to both the Zionsville Country Market and Stuckey Farms. ( Read more... )

Well, it's that time of year again. It's Seafair! Or at least it will be this weekend. It's essentially a big summer festival they have every year in Seattle. They have a hydroplane race on Lake Washington, a marathon, fireworks and a concert, and the Blue Angels performing in an air show! I know I posted only a few months about about finally getting another job, only to have that job end a short few weeks later. For that reason, I am a bit more careful about posting good news but...I still I have to post about this!

No easy way for me to say it but it turns out my job at the printing/mailing place didn't work out. I was told to "Not be distracted with anything else while printing", least for this one job I was working on, and I did. I was sooooo effing bored between printing that I sorta surfed the net and worked on smaller jobs in-between. Mostly ( Read more... )

Well I finally got a job, after four long months of unemployment. I've actually been working at this place for several weeks now, but since I was still on edge about loosing my last job (laid off), I wanted to make sure this job was something 'for real'. So I held off on making it public till now.

Yesterday I flew from Seattle to Indianapolis to visit my folks for a week around Easter. I did the same thing last year and visited them when they were still living in Houston, TX.
