I know I posted only a few months about about finally getting another job, only to have that job end a short few weeks later. For that reason, I am a bit more careful about posting good news but...I still I have to post about this!

YAY! Congrats on the new job! That is very good news when you've been looking for a job for a long time. And yeah, when something isn't working out, it's best to go with another interest, and since yours is with animals, you should adapt just fine. Hope it all works out for you and good luck on Monday! :)

Thanks! Looking forward to it. I think I have confidence learning how to clean cages and assist in animal care (something I already do at the Humane Society), than learning big printing machines and being blamed for a print job messing up! That's one thing I hated about the printing job, plus it was so boooooooooooring sometimes!

Well great-- even if it ends up being less than enjoyable, it's always good to have no long jobless stretches on your resume! And I do hope it ends up being a good place with full time opportunities! <3 Good luck :D

Thanks! Unfortunately I do already have a jobless gap on my resume, but it's a bad economy and I think that's working in my favor. I hope it becomes full time eventually or at least 30 or so hrs a week. But if it doesn't, I'm not looking for another part time job on top of that one, till later on.

Good luck with the job! I say better to have a part time job then nothing. I had a job at the VCA in Z-ville when I was in hs & they said the job was going to be kind of like what you describe at this one. Then when I started working & really found out what the job was about it was just cleaning the cages, tubs, sinks, ect. I never got to do all the fun things or at least what I thought was fun about the job. Hope the job is better then the one I had at the VCA. Good luck again & I would still keep up the job hunting. You never know what you might come across, maybe a full time job or maybe another part timer.

During the week I do more of the cleaning. But every other weekend when I work, I'm supposed to help the vets with procedures and some cleaning. But then later in the day I come back to care for the boarders.

I will probably look here and there for other part time work but I don't plan on getting another part time job right away. Perhaps when summer's almost over or maybe in early Fall.
