Back home visiting

Yesterday I flew from Seattle to Indianapolis to visit my folks for a week around Easter. I did the same thing last year and visited them when they were still living in Houston, TX. But unfortunately, like myself, my dad also got laid off from his engineering job he had down there so my folks had to move back to Indy a couple of months ago. Bad everywhere in the country, :( At least they are back in their own house again though, which is paid off and he's getting unemployment, so all's good for now.

Anyway, sad news aside, my folks decided to help fund my air ticket for me to come back over the holiday. And fortunately I found a really cheap Southwest ticket so I snagged it! $226 isn't bad at all esp. if you're traveling THAT far! Usually tickets from Seattle to Indy or vice versa run like $300 and up, esp. if it's during the summer months, or at Xmas time...even more! So I'm back typing on their oooooooold Compaq computer that I used to use yeeeeeears ago, and even today want to kick it for being so slow!

Not sure what plans we have in store. We may take one day trip up to Lake Michigan, since they know I love that lake and love big bodies of water (I mean obviously huh, I DO live in Seattle after all; right next to water). In the summer months when I fly back, we always go up there for the day and go swimming. Otherwise I know I'll be going to some Easter church services with them, decorating eggs, visiting friends like Kristy, :) Glad to be back though. Even though I moved away I still do miss some things, and definately some people in Indy! Plus my dog isn't doing well as she's very old and feeble. So I wanted to see her one last time before she passes, which will probably be within the year... :(
