Governor Jindal has officially declared that the Morganza Spillway will be opened sometime tomorrow. The Morganza Spillway has not been opened since 1973. While it will save Baton Rouge and New Orleans by relieving the pressure on the levees, it will dump 2,000 gallons/sec into farms, homes, and towns that live in the Atchafalaya Basin. OMG, I think I just crossed some line over to white trash world. Because I had 2 double gin and tonics tonight and I am sitting here watching Maury (the episode is about teenage girls who think they want to get pregnant), buzzed on gin, and eating left over waffles.

I think I have eaten out for dinner every day since Wednesday. This is not necessarily a good thing, but fortunately, only 1/2 of the meals have been my responsibility to pay for. Score. Apparently, I didn't pay my Mastercard bill this month. I have been waiting for it to come in the mail, but in actuality, it had already arrived and had gotten hidden on my shelf and I didn't realize.
